They exist in all price ranges of watches. The full plate is the cheapest and the most durable. Hard to service when it comes to setting the back plate. The 3/4 is simply a full plate with the balance assembly exposed for easy service and inspection( the English made famous but the Swiss love it too ). I have that Nomos that I got from IW, but if you look you will find them everywhere. Bridged is the weakest design but very revealing (most Russians chrono's and Swiss watches). They are the only 3 ways to frame a movement that I know of. There are exceptions to every generalized rule.
