(where's the emoticon with the smiley hitting it's head against a brick wall!?)Yes they would have a 'gripe'....because they are not getting a cent in revenue from the guy who sold the watch! And, their brand is getting devalued with every sale. They don't do this just so that they can see their name on the dial of a watch, they are running a business.
