Jim,I'm sure there are many stories as to what a Regulater is ....the one I know of is that the Regulater,or Doctors Watch was used by Dr.'s to Time different needs in the medical profession like Pulse...the Larger Hand being the Second Hand made this easier for them to do and see.....
Others I have heard are that this was the predescessor to the 3Hand Watch that we use today:) Yeah, just wondering if I could ever get used to telling time this way. I really like the Estana in the picture, but they keep going for too much $$$$ on eBay.
And...why are they called "regulators?"
