For those of you that have the Adobe Reader for PDF files on your computer, and that is virtually everone, you need to download a new version of the program. There is a flaw in the computer that allows malicious code to be executed. A virus is ciculating that takes advantage of the problem. If the infected PDF file is opened, it lowers security settings on Windows- based machines and installs other malware. The update is here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html Also, if you use the Firefox browser, there is a new version out (2.0.0.8) that fixes 10 problems with Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ Next week there will be another new version (2.0.0.9) because these 10 fixes brought to light 4 or 5 other problems, so check again next week for another update.]
