 It was some ridiculous amount, but the first bill was vetoed by Bush and he threatens to do the same for any bill sent to him that has the tobacco tax included.  It wasn't just tax passed on to consumers, they were gonna tax a store for the stock they had on the floor.  This would have basically put the small tobacconists out of business.  I doubt this will ever see the light of day... ;)
