Shady, you only live once, so you're doing the right thing in my opinion.  If you can afford it, you need to get the things that make you happy.  No use living life if you're miserable -- or not happy.

I think one of the main rules I saw from another forum about watch collecting is to get THE watch you want.  You actually save money in the long run.  Instead of cluttering your house with watches you don't especially like but because it was a "good" deal, you end up putting it in a winder instead of enjoying it.   By getting your grail watch, you avoid many temptations from other watch offerings.  $500 here and there and pretty soon you could've bought the watch that you REALLY want.

As mentioned by past reviewers, the Spring Drive smooth second hand movement DOES make me smile every time I see it.  You can't find it in a Rolex.  You can't even find it in a Patek.  Read up on the advantages of the Spring Drive.  You'll soon see why it is called an "everlasting watch" by the inventor.  The 600M Diver is by far the best looking watch out there (if you like diver watches).  Other Spring Drives don't come close in design and overall presentation.  To me it's a watch you can wear with a suit or a T-shirt.  It's so much of my "single" watch that I can't imagine myself going back to the Zeno.

You noticed my car.  You're the first person to mention anything about it.  It's not my picture but it IS my car, all the way down to year (2006), model (Evolution), and the color (Tarmac black).  And it's not *any* Evolution.  Mine is an Evolution MR Special Edition.  Red stitching, aluminum roof, Bilstein shocks, six speed, and front flares (as you see in the photo).  All stock.

I see young people admiring my Evo and wanting one but I keep telling them they need to work hard and make money first.  Then enjoy the fruits of your labor.  This Evo is something very few young people can afford and probably for good reason.  I really enjoy it.  The power is simply incredible.  Do you like your Speed 3?

(As you can tell, I like many things Japanese.  They make incredible products.)
