All the movement pictures in this topic so far are genuine Swiss ETA movements. Hamilton uses the ETA 649x movements in their modern watches so it's likely that even that is genuine as well. I haven't seen one of the Modern Hamiltons with the 6497/8 personally so I don't know if they are signed or not but if they spent the money for the decorated movement it's likely that they had it signed too. Movement decoration is a pretty easy tell, the chinese copies have the decoration cast into the parts or "glue ons" where swiss decoration is genuine tooling decoration. I built a couple panny homages myself, got the lume right from Tritec and got my movement from Ofrei and the rest of the parts from one of those "evil" parts dealers. If your Chinese is good there are catalogs (one of the seiko parts guys on the forums has been advertising some of these parts catalogs) of Chinese parts that will give you access to everything you need without having to deal with semi legit parts dealers.
