I think I must be going crazy. I was looking around and ran across a picture of a TIMEX TX. Thought it was an interesting design and thought to check out pricing. $$400 plus for a TIMEX!? The backs say Movement design in Germany. Has some marketing guy fliped ? Who would pay that much for a watch designed in Germany by TIMEX and built most likely in China? They don't even mention where they are built on any part of the watch that I could see. I must be missing something.
Romano, I'm pretty sure those watch movements are made in Germany as is final assembly. As Ken stated they are buying up companies to go upscale. They even bought a small company from a top notch custom watchmaker..name escapes me in which those watches sell well over 10K
