hi. I'm new to this forum, but do have some years of collecting and work on watches. It would be a shame to gut your watch since the case is in such nice shape. Its a common case and movement assembly. There are a number of facilities that can fix your watch. Stoll and company being one. If the tube is a part of the case it can be filled and reworked.
