I have an 8 inch wrist, and people tell me that it is big. Alot of standard rubber straps are just a bit tight on my wrist. I like my Zeno Pepsi Diver because it has a great long strap.
Most bracelets I have have all the links. I had to get 2 additional links for my 45mm Omega PO.
I don't think there is a standard size, but I would have to say your wrist sounds big.
