 What are gray market watches...Gray Market watches are watches on the market sold by other than an AD (authorized dealer).  They are the result of 3 different things:

1) An AD trying to get rid of excess stock forced on him by the manufacturer.

2) Stock resulting from a bankruptcy sale.

3) Excess stock disposed of by the manufacturer through other channels of distribution than their AD's.

Except for the miniscule # of Gray Market watches on the market due to item #2, above, the Gray Market is, in fact, created by the manufacturer, who then whines about what he has created.

As a note, not all Gray Market watches come without factory warranty...some large outlets who are not AD's do have contracts with the manufacturer for "factory Warranty" service.
