 Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!....I have a 7" wrist and I would consider 46mm too large for me.  With you wrist size, why not consider the Glycine Airman 18?  Both the 17 (46mm) and the 18 (38mm) are the same watch sized differently.  My original Airman (of which the 17 and 18 are homages) is 36mm and wears nicely.

The 24 hour dial is special, and the nice thing about these two models that is missing on many 24 hour dials, is that the "back" of the hour hand is shaped like a dagger pointing back to the 12 hour time, making it quick and easy to read (for those not used to a 24 hr dial)!
