I have been looking for either a Robert or Steinhart red bezel Ocean 1 for some time. One showed up here on the sales corner and I wasted no time in getting it. I had never seen a Steinhart in the flesh, just in pictures. So, I was very happy when the watch arrived and it exceeded my expectations. What a nice watch! Fit and finish is very good and the bracelet is silky smooth. I can't put my finger on it, but the bracelet actually has a buttery feel to it. It just feels nice in your hand and on your wrist. Screw-in links! Lume is ok. Nothing great, but ok. The crown works well. It is easy to unscrew and screw back in. At 42mm, the case is the perfect size for this watch. It is nicely polished on the sides and satin finished on the top. Nice heft an balance too. ![]() The Robert was a trade here with a fellow 3T'er. It is a limited edition automatic (2824-2) with a Laco movement. 42mm polished case. It has without question the best lume of ANY watch short of the Seiko Monster series. It is too bad all my watches don't glow like this one. It is awesome. I didn't get it for its looks, but I am finding that I really like it now that I have worn it a few days. The watch actually has a nice presence on the wrist. I really like it. I think I am the third owner and I assure you I will be the final one. Too bad Robert is all but gone. ![]()
