I watched the qualifying last night courtesy of SPEED and really enjoyed it. First off I love the fact the drivers are having to drive so much since traction control has been banished. It may slow them down a bit, but imho it is highly entertaining to see these cars acting like cars. Seems to formula has changed to make the racing more entertaining.
I'm also happy to see some new faces in the driver's seats. Most notably Sebastien Bourdais who dominated in CHAMP car seems like it will take some time for him to find his way.
I also felt bad for hometown boy Mark Webber who lost his brakes and found his way into the kitty litter to qualify a disappointing 14th after showing some quicks.
Kimi also suffered a mechanical and did not make it back to the pits thereby ending his day. He'll start in P 15.
As a question, which sites do F1 fans favor for their info? I'm not terribly satisfied with any I have visited as of late.
The race will be broadcast on Speed tonight and I am looking forward to staying up and seeing some great racing.
