Rolex/Tudor will not release a statement as this is privy information that they bought the rights to the source of the "wheels and gears" used by Selitta and also that Sellitta has been contracted by Tudor to supply the SW200 for the use in the Tudor European line of watches....this has been verified by several sources to me now via e-mail and phone conversations and it is fact not rumor as reported by someone on another forum who is dependant on a sub contractor to build his watch line ....he needs to check the facts with a reliable source other than his watch brand assembler!....
What was posted on another forum in response to my original source is hearsay based on an edited e-mail as they mentioned that Tudor was interested only in the SW300 the 7750 clone which we all know is not true as the SW500 is the 7750 clone and still in developmental stages....also dependant on the source of the wheels and gears which Tudor now owns....it was reported to me that any existing SW200's for 2008 will be dispersed among the major watch players/contractors/subcontractors and not to any small entity in the watch biz....any if any left over SW200's after 2008 will be sold but my source says this is unlikely as Tudor has secured their European line by securing these movements for themselves to be further modified and used in the Tudor line! Selitta does not care who they sell to as long as they are selling and it is in their best interest to build for one manufacturer rather than many imho as they have in the past...and this statement involves only the SW200 as reprted to me....my sources and myself are not rumor mongers as someone dependant on others to build their watches insinuated on another forum and the truth will be announced if needed by either Rolex/Tudor or Sellita but I highly doubt it unless another source close to the subject does so as I havewatch2.gif
