More newbie questions. smile8.gif How much does the standard "clean and lube" for an automatic watch cost? I've read enough now to know that you should do this every 5 years or so. I am going to guess that on some less expensive watches, it may be better financially to just toss the watch after 5 years and buy a new one.

Depends on the movement, but I would say from around $60 for a Seiko type movement all the way up. I had a 7750 serviced for $160 which included some new parts....it's on an individual basis.
