The way things are, sometimes: My arrived: dinged bezel. My F 104 arrived: dinged (you guessed it) .... Dinged mistake.gif

Bezel! Yeah... leading into the weekend, I should have 2 really nice 'new timepieces. Yesterday; the Airforce Orange arrived. Gorgeous! Upon a bit closer inspection, I notice a ding on the bezel in the lower right corner. I immediately email . They respond, soon after. They offer a $50 refund, or exchange. I know me. Even with a $50 refund, that tiny ding would still bug me.

I FedEx the watch back yesterday. I provide to them, the tracking info this morning. They have already sent a replacement! Folks! That's what I call, Customer Service! Back to that watch for just a moment before I go on. It's really nice! It sits really nice on my 7.5" wrist. I cannot wait to get the replacement. With me; I see everything! I am very critical! Very!
I spend $500+. I expect no defects. Things happen, however. QC gets out of whack sometimes. It's one of those things. Sure; I was disappointed. But, I also think this company will make things right. I have read the testamonials. Happy Customers!
I knew the F 104 would be arriving today! Perfect! It did, too! And, what a watch it is! Wow! The thing about this watch, even though it is 52mm across the case is the fact that the longer you wear it, the more it seems to be just right!
I open the box. The typical 'very nice' wooden box is there in all it's glory. The F 104 is stunning in black! Unlike the white dial version; the numbers are lumed on this version. Nice!
I remove it. And, like I do; I look it over very carefully. And, one of the first things I do, is check the alignment of the hands. At '6', are they perfectly straight up and down? Oh yeah... In the past few years, I do this with all my watches.
Then; I notice a tiny ding just left of the '12' on top of the bezel. This came from an AD! They are a walk-in store. And, there is a good chance, this watch has been tried on a few times. A few minutes later, I notice a little scrape near the crown on the bezel's side. Would anyone else notice any of this? Doubt it! But; I paid over $700. I want factory 'new'.
As the day goes on; of course, I start thinking that I might be able to live with it the way it is. Nothing's prefect! Right? Anyway, I have a call into the dealer. When I last talked to them, they had two of the F 104's with the black dial. I'm going for an exchange. I should get a call back tomorrow. The F 104 is amazing!
