 RGM deserves alot of credit for reviving quality watchmaking in the U.S.
In the past, names like Gruen,Hamilton,Elgin,Waltham and Bulova were the pride of
most wearers between the 1860's-1950's.

Unfortunately,with the Quartz Revolution of 1968-1980. Most of those brands,have either been absorbed through giant Swiss Distribution Groups like Swatch or have
faded into obscurity.
