Some of you may have heard me talking about me installing an outdoor furnace and was wondering what I was talking about or, maybe you dont really care. Yesterday I finally got it hooked up and making heat after 2 months of working out in the cold and snow by myself. I did the whole install myself. I just have to do some finish work in my 2 buildings but the house is done. I got my buddies crane and got it set on fri morn and spent the whole weekend getting it hooked up. It even heats my domestic hot water. So far its not using hardly any wood but, the 2 buildings arent on line yet. It will heat 14,000 sq. feet. When its all said and done, it will be heating about 8,000 sq. ft.. I couldnt believe there were no problems with the install. I figured I would have a water leak here or there but its all good. Many people in our area are switching to these for their heat because they are cheap and effecient heat. I have 50 acres of trees so, firewood is no problem. So, I have to fire it twice a day and cut firewood but, in the long run, it will save me about 7 grand a year. Here are some pics.
