PAX...just out of curiosity, have you ever looked at the facts, as opposed to listening to the anti-gun propaganda. Fact, in area's where concealed weapons are permitted, there is a reduction in crime because the criminals are not the only ones with weapons...and they do not know which of their victims might have a concealed weapon and shoot back. To bring back back an old adage that is trite, but true..."Guns don't kill people; people kill people." More people are killed by kids and old people in automobiles than by guns, by such an overwhelming margin that it is ridiculous, and the licensing laws are equally slack and ridiculous, as compared to the purchase and permit requirement for guns. I agree that no citizen need an automatic weapon. No one is going to watch out for you and your family as passionately as you are...I know it is an emotional issue...that's why one needs to look at the facts. I for one, would not travel by auto cross-country without some reasonable form of protection...out society has allowed the vicious and the pathological to do what they want with little or no repercussion, simply because...well, they had a bad childhood...perhaps, Dad wouldn't buy them a watch!!! :)
