Hi 3T'ers. I have been looking at MKII Stingray watches lately, and am impressed with the bang for the buck they seem to offer - especially since the 42mm version can be made to look like the BP Fifty Fathoms with a bit of "selective breeding" when you order off their website. I am attracted to bright, shiny, and distinctively minimalist. My girl thinks that is why I am with her... :)

Anyway - I have 2 questions:

1. why are the MKIIs I have seen available on the fora available second hand for roughly the same price as a new one off the shelf from the manufacturer? (in other words, why would I buy a second-hand one to save 30 bucks?) and

2. does anyone have any experience with how good they are? I can remember a post a cupla months ago with a terrific looking incoming Stingray, but no longer term comments on how well they wear/last/keep time and if any SS bracelets are available to suit them.

Many thanks in advance for any thoughts from owners - and if the topic is unacceptable discussion on the forum, please feel free to PM me and kick the topic to the kerb, cos it is mainly for my education anyway - cheers all - IanMThumbsUp02.gif
