G]Here are some pics of my russians.  I need some advise on taking pics of watches.  I did not use the flash but they still look like crap.  Also, my wife saw me taking pics of my watches and she just shook her head.  Oh well.  I will try to get better pics of my others.  Scott

Nice collection and the photo's aren't that bad at all. What kind of lighting are you using? Appears that the camera is in Macro mod..........try some outside and see how that workshand6.gif

No.........must be in macro for the close proximity to the watch being photographed.

It looks like your pics were saved in low quality. Try saving in at least medium to high. You should be able to change that setting on your camera.

I had it on a lower setting so it would download quicker for people.  I will crank it up tomorrow.  Scott

Nice collection!  Russians are what got me into this obsession, errr hobby in the first place.  Love the Slava, I have the chrome version.  What is the "9 eater" in the middle with the rocket on the dial? Very coolhand6.gif

Cheers,
Griff

Thanks Griff,  Here is a close up.  I think it is a vostok.  The pic of the movement above is from this watch.  It has a couple different types of engine turning which makes it really nice.  I need to get some info on this watch and movement.  ScottIMG]http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii3/scottrans/2008_0127vostok0010.jpg[/IMG]
