Hey all just thought i would put my 2cents in is it me but ias i look at all the watches out there on shows online and in stores most of the cases are the same .Different brands but alot of the case designs are the same watch to watch unless you start purchesing 10thousand doller or better watches why is this is there a monoply on watch parts I know there is a difference in movements but in design i look at watches i have and then i see another watch brand for sale and say wow i like that watch i think ill buy it then i look at my collection and i have the same watch under a different name im new to watch collecting so i do not know if this is the norm I never really looked at watches I mean really look at them untill now so i have been noticing the differences snd simularities again just voicing my opinian :? guy r Last edited on Wed Jan 30th, 2008 02:21 am by peapaaw |

There are many watch makers even Swiss that will buy the cases and parts off the shelf. But there are some lower end folks out there too that design their own stuff too. And even in that some times the designs look allot alike till you put them side by side and do a close exam. Just depends on what you want. Go for watch (A) with the big name and pay $5000.00 or go with watch (B) with a so so brand and pay $500.00 all a matter of taste and affordability to the buyer and or collector. ;) |
