I used to own one and found it to be a terrific watch.  Typical Seiko build quality and fantastic lume.  Very nice bracelet and good overall heft.  Great timekeeper, too!

I ONLY sold it because a WIS friend of mine I was having lunch with REALLY, REALLY wanted it and bought it on the spot.

great watch, wearing it as we speak.  Read the reviews in the review section.  I love mine and thinking of going for a Grand Seiko.  Has somewhat replaced my submariner.

If they made that with day/date I would have one of each color by now but I have been real slow to buy one with just the date... one of my pet peeves... It's sure a sweet looking watch though!!

My thought only is that the day date would "Busy" up the dial and take away from the look of the watch.

The fit and the finish of the watch is Seiko top notch.  Not to big but substantial in appearance and feel.

Keeping great time... + 4 seconds over the last 5 days....

The 6r's do seem to run a bit tighter out of the box +4 is as good as one could hope for!

As far as the day busying up the dial I think the day wheel could get away with being the same color as the dial with offset text, it would camouflage the day nicely and it would still be visible when you needed it.
