sorry for these types of post but .............

Yao stingray or Seiko Sumo...................

I like the Yao for the excellent build quality and ETA movement. the 42mm case is right at the minimum and I wonder if I might tire of it?

Sumo 45mm case, bracelet whih I am a bracelet guy. Upgraded Seiko movement. Less money. Drawback to me...still a bit of a Rolex clone type diver.

Sumo pic borrowed from Onkel.

Maybe i just dont need another watchcrap.gif

As much as I like the look of the stingray, I'm jonesing for one of those Sumos and I'm also a bracelet guy so that's the way I would go.

"....Maybe i just dont need another watch..."

As my late Mother would admonish us kids: "Now what kind of talk is that? Shame on you!"

;)

I vote for Sumo. hand6.gif

The Stingray is next on my list once some others arrive that are on order.....it uses a sweet eta with incabloc shock sysytem...a big plus for me,and that vintage fifty fathoms look along with the size make it a Classic for years to come imhohand6.gif

My vote is the Sumo. Great looking watch, nice bracelet and super reliable. Nice size too. I do like the classic look of the Stingray but I agree it might seem small. If the diameter is 42mm then the actual dial size must be really small. Look at how wide the bezel ring is.

Sumo.  Wonderful watch all the way around.  More unique case with a very cool semi-shrouded bezel.  I only wish it had a sapphire crystal...

Stingray...without a doubt.  The Sumo is great, don't get me wrong, but in my opinion the Stingray is much more special...better crystal, ETA movement, custom choices, fifty-fathom homage, etc.

The Stingray is on my list too.

Good luck,

E

Right on, TD. How did you lay it out? Save a screen shot?

Bro it is the one pictured. Bezel was not my first choice, but I'm growing to like it. dial configuration is perfect. This one is brushed/blasted case. I liked the look of the all polished, but after a while the constant smudges would drive me nuts.

This one was LNIB worn only once by the seller.

 No waitThumbsup3.gif.................PRICELESS!

I like them both, but I think buddy you can't go wrong with the Stingray.  Also the brush-blasted case cool look.  the polish look on this, I'm not keen on.  I really dig the bezel and dial like-one-of-a-kind, from what I remember, is it 15-16mm thick.  Tony can't wait for allots of wrist shots.  It looks good buddy.......yourock.gif

Well, late to the party on this one, but I would go for the Stingray myself - if you can stand the 16+ week wait for assembly (or get a preowned or pre-built one)...
