My point is that I have spent a lot of money on watches, and here is a movement from a Seiko Watch....I am starting to fall in love with the Grand Seiko's

I don't blame ya they are nice. When you have some spare time do a image search for Citizen, Orient and Android movements to and even some of the Chinese movements are looking really good. Many Asian movements are very under estimated in quality.

No changed mind here, I have always known Seiko made top quality stuff.

They just don't sell it to Americans.

Looks like a Flightmaster to me.

The same movement is in the new Orient Mechanical Chrono too.

I agree with Foster as no one has ever doubted Seikos quality but the Credo,Grand Seiko and King Seiko luxury lines are not made for U.S distribution....the Spring Drive was the 1st luxury Seiko offerred in the U.S in the $3200. to $3500. range....the aforementioned will cost you considerably more with no AD support, repair centers nor parts availability in the U.S.watch2.gif

Is that the movement from their new auto chrono?  I just saw it a day or so ago, way out of my price range right now unfortunately.

Looking for something that falls in the above average lines but lower in cost to the GS try Seiko watches with the  6R15 movement

Great movement...I have it in a Spirit.  A little lower bph rate than the ETA but higher than the 7SX6 series and hackable/windable!  Very accurate!

well to tell you the deal, I just bought a Sumo the new 6R15-0060 Dive watch and I love it, the winding makes it great and it hacks too.. I might never wear a SKX007 again....

PS: this seems to be a great Sight... ThumbsUp02.gif

I am loving the Sumo....it is keeping the Submariner in the watch box.
