I have been a silent reader on this site and a couple of others and am relatively new to the watch scene, so I am learning something new every day on the Internet. A friend of mine in Spain who is also a watch nut sent me this amazing picture of a new watch released by the Richard Mille company. I have never heard of them before, does anyone here know about this brand? At the bottom near 6 o'clock it also says homage to Boucheron, never heard of them either, but I am no expert. It looks to me as if the wheels inside the watch are made of stones, maybe agate? Is such a thing possible? He also said there was a new pocket watch by the same company, new for 2008. I think that is really cool that a new firm is making pocket watches again. Anyway, if anyone knows more about this, it would be great to hear about it. Yea that is a cool looking watch. I've heard of both brands. Don't know allot about them. Boucheron is more upscale than Richard Mille. But neither are in a low cost range really. Here are their web sites. http://www.richardmille.com https://www.boucheron.com

Richard Mille is one of the foremost watchmakers of our time getting his start with Maubousson and designing and building some of the most expensive complicated watches available today...average cost runs anywhere from $75,000 to $1,000,000. depending on model....Boucheron has been around for 100 years and also builds expensive watches but many can be had as low as $399. and in the $1000. range for their quartz versions in grey market found all over the web...never cared for their strap design and how they are applied as a conventional strap will not work.....Lior used to bring Boucheron to Slopnbc in the Tim Temple days for $1299. and I believe there on some available on that site nowhand6.gif

Welcome to 3T! Thanks for the post. I've never seen this model but have admired some of the Richard Mille F1 themed pieces. This is the stuff where form and material are thrown asunder. Amazing watches... amazing artistry... I am almost glad I have never had the opportunity to see one live as I am quite certain it would give me an MI!!

wow nice!! i love RMs designs. Very unique and innovative. The prices however is too rich for my taste. Anders showed me one a while back which he sold for a cool 1/2million!!!! How anyone can justify paying that much for a watch is beyond me. ![]() ![]() chris

This is actually a brand I know a little about as it is my "dream watch" Model RM005-FM in Titanium. (green and yellow dial... John Deere colors :D) But, It will have to stay a dream unless I sold my house to buy it or win the lotto that i dont play. I will probably never see one in person, I think they are only on the west coast in the US. The engineering that goes into these watches is phenomenal and the workmanship is also awesome. All it takes is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Talking about Richard Mille. Here is a Richard Mille 008 which we sold for a customer. Retail Price for this watch is: $600,000 USD. Which is one of the highest End RM. Enjoy the pictures folks. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Most likely this has been emblished with Photoshop to give the watch and "active" look. There are sapphires used at the friction points on the wheels and gears. Agate would be too soft for any of the inner workings.
