typical double speak with the Swiss movement then going into the Germanic Swiss in the descriptionmistake.gif also comes with exibition and solid caseback??? Would you want to keep opening up the caseback of your 300m diver. Not sure about the crown at 8 since it has a rotating bezel, maybe a helium release valve.

Very attractive though IMHO............

Looks like the same case as the Accutron VX-200 with a HRV.

Well here's one example:

http://www.timetechtalk.com/view_topic.php?id=10758&forum_id=1&highlight=riedenshild

My concern is the Germasian nature of some of the offerings... Seems somewhat misleading the way the items are marketed. I would think the watches should have either straight Swiss or Japanese movements. I'm not certain what the Gematic movement is or what type of modifications they might be doing to some of the movements. In truth, I have never cared too much and have seen this as a red flag. This is my opinion and my opinion only so take it for what it is worth. I strongly suggest you do your own due dilligance...

I think you can be ok buying the brand. But, they are a new brand looking for their place in the market. Just be smart with what you purchase. :dude:

BTW, the bezel is right off a Tissot 1000 diver. :)

It's a combination of a TISSOT Seastar and Omega PO.

I had spend most of last week trying to get straight answers about Riedenschild Gematic Movements. Only to find out that these are Chinese Made ebauches, that have been modified by the company.

The dial on watch, even states that it is Assembled In Germany.  IMO,that is pathetic.
Stowa,Sinn,Muhle Glashutte, A. Lange & Sohne, Glashutte Original and Meistersinger among the few.  All have Made In Germany labelled below the 6-o-clock position.

If anyone came across a Riedenschild Advance Pro-Chronograph this watch has a Chinese Made ST-1901 Manual Wind Movement.  Price: $700.  My suggestion, turn around and embrace that Geman MadeTimepiece on your wrist!
