RGM deserves alot of credit for reviving quality watchmaking in the U.S. In the past, names like Gruen,Hamilton,Elgin,Waltham and Bulova were the pride of most wearers between the 1860's-1950's. Unfortunately, with the Quartz Revolution of 1968-1980. Most of those brands, have either been absorbed through giant Swiss Distribution Groups like Swatch or have faded into obscurity. |

Is that Lancaster Pa I see on the Dial? Cool. Lancaster is about a 2.5 hour drive from me. Cool to see a watch made here in PA. Scott |

Wonder if this one will be of better quality than the C3 diver it made a couple of years ago..? |

Nice watch, but clearly a homage to the fifty fathoms. Why not buy the Yao Stingray and spend the extra $3K on a few others? I guess the answer is if you have the money, the price doesn't matter. Looks good, though. I'd wear it on those 2500 foot dives. |

Nice watch. But for $3,500 it's an overpriced IMO. |

Looks nice but the case screams Sub to me, which one would hope for more at that price! |

On one hand you could look at it this way. For $3,500 one could buy an Omega Seamaster Automatic which can be bought at various authorized dealer outlets. Or buy the RGM which is a lot rarer and more individualized than buying an established major name brand. The other alternative is buying used or vintage, with little or no warranty. That is something not all of us can do,unless we're absolutely sure about the watch and about the seller. There is no wrong or right answers, a watch says alot about the individual. Each of us own various watches because: a) we like the movement. b) we like the overall design and the attention to detail may infact surpasses those from Switzerland. Whatever reason it may be. I say congratulations and enjoy your New RGM. |
