I have not really followed the line close and they have many watches that are twin with the sister line. Just do a little looking around online and you will see Akribos  and Stührling Original watches have many watches that look alike. Maybe a different color of strap or the like. Made in the same house. At the moment I can think of the owner company name and then it may have changed sense I last looked over a year ago.

The auto's run on Asian movements. I have a Stührling Original I bought back in 2004. Very nice for a lower priced watch. On the wrist it looks like a $1000 watch. ;)

I have about 9 Akribos'.  Most are automatics and a couple quarts.   The Quartz are labled as swiss on the dial.  Autos are asian.  I wouldnt hesitate to buy another.  I actually have a few more on my wish list for when they go on sale.  The fit and finish seem just fine and the dial work is just wonderful.  They use German presses to make the dials.  They also state that the watches are assembled under Swiss supervision.  For the money spent I think you cant go wrong.
