Love the Nivrel... how is the lume on that one?  Is it 42mm?  How thick is it?

Good eye! I imagine a watch newbie would mention the Ball first, but you sir went right for the German tool watch.
As for those specs;
The lume is decent, my O&W beater diver (not pictured), Oris and of course the Ball all have brighter lume.
The size is listed at 41mm X 13.8mm on the Nivrel site. It is listed as 42 X 14 on a reputable AD site.
As a sailor, I consider it's smooth contours and relatively slim case as great features. Although many WIS guys like the look of chunky machines on their wrists, working with lines that may suddenly be under heavy loads calls for a sleek profile. That being said, those massive blocks are cool!
The 300m rating won't nearly be tested by the occasional swim or with waves breaking over the freeboard.
I don't want to be thinking about my watch as I sail and the rugged Nivrel satisfies that condition nicely.
My brother wears the Nivrel Red Sea which is the same but with a observation crystal, The Deep Sea (blue) is rated to 1000m and is very cool but I couldn't justify it.

Very nice and nothing middle of the road about any of those. each could hold it's own to much more expensive brands.Thumbsup3.gif

I really like the Atlantic Worldmaster, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet for one myself.  Great looking watches at a great value for a swiss made eta.  Have you been happy with it?
