I have been on a "gadget" watch kick lately, it appeals to my techie geek side and I have been looking at YES watches for awhile now.  I see one of the Mythbusters (love that show, LOL) wears one, and he wrote a testimonial on the YES site.  All their watches have the same ana-digi movements, just the case size/material are different.  I like the Cozmo 24, 43mm SS with bracelet.  Have any of you have/had one, and if so do/did you like it?  The price is a bit high ($500)  so I am watching the sales forums.

Thanks!

Cheers,
Griff

I had a Cozmo about a year ago but sold it because it seemed cumbersome on the wrist. I thought it was too thick and seemed unbalanced. It was a little better with the included rubber strap, though. It was a little too gimicky for my taste and not that easy to read IMO. And I found that I really didn't need to know high and low tide time in that many places around the world and the sun sets and the moon rises just the same without knowing the precise time every day!

Thank you Edgel, I appreciate an owner's opinion since I will never get a chance to play with one locally.  I love my Suuntos because of camping, the YES appealed to me because of all the gadgets though I am not sure what I would use them for!

Cheers,
Griff

Griff,

I have the Cozmo, and have enjoyed it since I got it. It does sit high on the wrist though. It does a lot of fun things. Sunrise and sunset, moon phase, hours of daylight, hours of darkness, and plenty of different time zones.

I just picked up a Cozmo off the forum about 2 weeks ago (beat ya!). It's a Father's Day gift, so all I can say is that I looked at it and like it (I may have tried it on too!) :)

thanks-
Marc

Thanks Chick!  I am going back and forth on it, I really like all the features and overall look, I just don't like the price tag.  I have a 'Zilla so sitting high on the wrist doesn't bother me at all.  Older ones up for sale on the forums have the previous module, I'd like to get one that has the latest DST programming.  I'll keep looking!

Cheers,
Griff

My automatics and hand crankers are getting jealous, I have been wearing my gadget watches so much lately.  I keep reaching for the Suunto Core...and definitely will be picking up a YES later this year, I just bought a Dievas Divergraph!

That is a cool wall clock Marc hand6.gif  I really want to get a Nixie clock kit, they are just so darn expensive and I would need to grab a bunch of tubes for future use.

Cheers,
Griff

I have to agree with Edgel as I found my Yes very uncomfortable and not what I expected as far the use I wanted it forcoyote2.gif I opted for the Tissot T-Touch which is more of an outdoors watch and has all the goodies at a fingers touchhand6.gif

Hmmm, maybe I should just stick with my Suuntos then...the crown does look like it might dig in to the wrist.  Not this month anyway, I have a Dievas Divergraph on the way!

Thanks guys!

Griff,

No crown dig at all. I do not find the watch uncomfortable to wear, it's just a pretty thick watch at 16mm high.
