The picture of the Green bezel is a 42mm. It is not a Classic. They also show a 42mm Black bezel (non-Classic) that has the thicker hands. So, I still don't get it.

Now I am confused... which doesn't take much. Looks like both the watches pictured are Ocean 1 models. Yet they have different hands by my eye.

Pax,

Go to Debaufre site. View the various Ocean 1 versions. The 42mm black and green have the fatter hands (as does the Classic and the new Magnum). The Red and Blue 42mm have the thinner (like my older Steinharts) hands.

All I want to know is whether the pic of the Ocean 1, GREEN 42mm is what you would receive (i.e. fatter hands). :)

I have all three watches...the Ocean 1 Regular in 42mm, the Ocean 1 Classic in 42mm. and a pre-demo of the 44magnum, green.

Only the 44magnum has those larger hands..the classic and regular ocean are the same.

Just looked at all three side by side.

Understood. But, I repeat. If you go to the Debaufre site, the pictures of the Black Ocean 1 (not Classic) also shows the thicker hands. Ditto for the Green. Yet the Red and Blue show up as the thinner hands. Please, see the pictures copied from the Debaufre site below. Or, am I nuts!!! (wait don't answer that :D)

The pics of the blue/blue compared to the regular black dial do look differnet; I am checking with the home office to see if the hands have changed and will let you know what I find out...good eye!

Here's the scoop on the hands.....

The first batch of "Classics" had the regular thin hands.  When Jon ok'd the second batch I went with the fatter hands to go better with the large hour markers.

The "Magnum" was ordered from the start with larger hands due to the size of the watch.

At present these larger hands are only on these two divers although the GMT's also sport the larger hands as seen on the website.

But due to running changes, double check with Elsa or AlldaRon on the specific model you are interested in.

Best regards,

Darrell

Thanks Darrell - just heard something similar from Jon - they obviously looked different in the pics, glad I wasn't imagining things!
