I like to see them as successful deals... an implicit endorsement from a satisfied buyer, seller and the 3T family.

The "acrylic insert" is exactly that. They were making that type of insert for the bezel, more in keeping with the original I guess, but have discontinued it due to cost. I guess some people think this makes it more rare or collectible.
