Hello,

I'm very interested in this watch and I'm looking for owner's reviews (with wrist shots) or advices. I'm in France, Swiss Legend is almost unknown here so I can't see the watch "in real". I've read the "OldeCrow" topic and other topics about Swiss Legend, and people seems to do not much appreciate this brand on this forum.

I'm looking for my 1st automatic watch (around $500), I don't care if it's not swiss made as long as it has a good building and a good finish.

I hope you will understand my English :)
Thanks for your help.

Hello and welcome to 3T. ;) I don't think it is that people don't like the brand there seemed to be a issue with the design of that watch I forget what it was. :)

I have the Swiss Legend President watch and really like it. But surely others will chime in on what they think. Thanks for coming to 3T. ;)

I've never owned a Swiss Legend and never will.  The brand is owned by Invicta/Eyal Lalo.  To me, that means you will get the same non-existent production quality control before the sale and the even less impressive customer service after the sale.

My experience with Invicta has been less than satisfactory...to me, it is a company run by a man with no moral center and no business ethics.

Slow down Tiger:D I'm pretty sure Lior from Swiss Watch International owns this one:)

As far as the watch, if you can find one for under $500 go for it. I regret passing on a yellow version. Sold for $350. Big diver Swiss ETA 2824 cant be all bad.

Well count on Ken not to pull any punches. I will echo ihis opinion, but beyond that I find he watch a bit of a dog. Don't care for the date placement, the marker shaped as arrow to point to the date or the bezel. For the budget you are proposing you can do a lot better particularly if you keep an eye out on the secondary market. It's been said before but as of late I have seen a number of Tissot Seastar 1000s on the secondary market for less than $500... and they are 10 times the watch than this SL is... JMHO!:D If the Crowe was diappointed that's not a good indicator of quality. PM and ask him if he still has the watch...mistake.gif

Nice to have you at 3T and though we all seem pretty turned off by the Invicta and slopNBC offerings, we're actually a pretty open group!

I stand corrected, face4.gif and while Lior has my respect in the area of customer service, I still lump him in with the TV Watch Brands...simply not worth it.  As to Paxman's comments....a NEW Tissot Seastar 100 can be had for less than $500 and the preowned market is in the $325 arena. (just sold one).

SWI makes some very nice watches as I own one and from what I hear SL is a nice watch but the only thing that I've seen wrong with the watch was a few crown issues.....

I've heard allot of good about the SWI watches. My SL President is very well made and came on a very nice brown croc strap with deployment clasp.

If I recall right I think there was talk of a crown issue with the diver.

I've already looked at the Seastar but I don't like its design.

The only other watch I'm in love with is the Victorinox SSC (in black/leather) but, for this one, the only way is the secondary market and people seems to love it too cause I can't find it (on ebay).
