Yeah a little surprising. They seem to be the Oris of watches. Exceptional value, unique design, but nobady wants them:?

Good call on that.  Is Oris overproduced or something?  They're all over the place.  Some of their designs look really nice.  Do they really have "exceptional value?"  If so, maybe I'll give them another look.  But there's definitely a psychological factor involved when you see them everywhere and always at a significant discount -- makes it *seem* like they're not all that great.

Oris watches are considered a mid-priced Swiss line and as far as I can remember they only make mechanical in-house made movements. Personally I believe they are under priced for the quality. Just because you see them all over the place, doesn’t make them any different then Tag, Omega or Rolex which you can find at every mall in America.

Oris uses ETA and Selitta movements.  I believe they are modified in-house.  I've also read that Fricker makes their cases.  They are fantastic watches for the price.  I've sold both of mine but really want to re-acquire an Artelier.  That is a stunning timepiece!

I had two balls ....both I flipped ....I flipped the hydro and I never liked it that much ??!!?? but I am stupid for selling the worldtimer face4.gif  ... and I am looking for another white worldtimer like the one I owned ...........................  the hydro was just too small at 40mm for me , even though it played so big at about 18mm high !!!

I really think that Oris is the BEST value out there ....I have owned and flipped many watches and Oris is the best bang for your buck .... in my humble opinion of course

....and I really like the Oris Williams F1, the cj flipped to me....it is an amazingly comfortable watch.  The only thing that throws me a little off on Oris is the integrated lugs on most models!

Isn't Oris the Oris of watches??subtlelaugh.gif

At least the Ball's retain their value better than the Oris watchs on the secondary market.
