Doesn't seem like a great quality watch.  I have no idea about their winders.

Might be outfitted with a Miyota movment so at that price I would call it a no brainer. 200m diver with a solid movment and classic homage looks for $60 is nice. The winder is inconsequential.... I  don't think these winders have any control beyond on and off...

I have that watch and winder. The watch is solid with a Miyota 8215 auto. The band leaves a little to be desired, very light and doesn't feel "right". The winder is a complete waste of time. It turns on and off and you have a choice of clockwise or counter.

I went for the deal and snagged one @ $60 shipped.  It arrived today and I'm okay with what I got for the price.  It is a hacking Miyota movement with a screw-down crown.  The face says "Japan" but a sticker on the bracelet says "Made in China".

The bezel clicks feel cheap and loose.  I do like the color.  It is a very deep blue.  The lumination is mediocre as expected.

The bracelet feels light, almost like it is made of cleverly disguided folded links.  The clasp is nice though as it is a push-button with a fold-over lock.

Nonetheless it is going to make a good Christmas present for my brother.  It will be his first and only automatic and I have some questions so I can give him good advice.

It will most likely be his daily wearer so my question includes the winder which I know is not even close to being quality.

Would it be best for me to tell him to just use the winder as a watch box, or would he be okay if we put his watch on the winder every evening if he put the watch back on his wrist the following day?  Basically I'd tell him to never let it wind more than 12 hours.

Any thoughts from this group would be appreciated.  I don't own any winders myself but I understand the cheap ones can be damaging to the movements.

Thanks

Enjoy the crappy pics . . .

If it's going to be his daily wearer there is no need to use the winder as anything more than a watch box. Give him the winder but hide the power supply!!!!!!!!!!!

Regardless if the build is a little shaky, you've got a handsome watch with a reliable movement which is a great gift. As for the winder I don't think I would let it run 12 hours. May be three hours max.

that is a nice entry level watch at a great price .... I have a few of those winders somewhere in the basement ....They are also a great introduction to this addiction we have ..... You never know , your brother might get "hooked"
