This is not the regular Stuhrling Original Eternal Sunrise that you see sold on several sites out there now.

Who sees what the different is with this special edition that was made. No not a limited edition but it could be called a limited production.

I forget exactly when but I bought it I think late 04 or early 05. They sold out fast.

Anyone here own the original classic? Any other owners of this one here?

Is it like this one on the bay?

I have to admit that I'm really impressed with the dial on it.  How do you like the watch over all?

Very nice watch, with a lot to offer.......actually now that I think about I gave it to a friend that really wanted the watch as I was not giving it enough wrist time.  I am sure it had a Chinese movement if I can remember...but was keeping good time.

Yea it is a China Lexus movement. And that one on the Bay is not the original. The original dose not have the blue indicies or home time complication on it. I had bought the original too and gave it to a friend as a wedding gift.

Yea the dial is sweet. A true pressed dial not a mold. A nice dress watch. ;)

Yea getting it set just right is a pain. It is a duel time and not a gmt/utc funtion.

That's not surprising, considering the low price.  Honestly, the SO watches appear to have such nice exterior details and mechanical features that I wonder how they can offer them at such a low price.  I wonder about SUG watches the same way.  I've never pulled the trigger on either just because I can't see how they do it.  But it seems that guys here have actually had pretty good luck with them.

Anyway, that original version is nice.  You thinking about tracking down a replacement for yourself?

No not looking for a replacement was just going through pics and thought I'd post that up and get a little conversation going. LOL

But SO just like SUG has some big guns behind them. Do a little digging you may find some very cool and interesting surprises. But I won't let the cat out of the bag. Part of the fun is digging up info on watches and watch makers too. ;)

This is the current version of that watch. Very similar but not as nice. I prefer the blue markers. Luminous markers seem odd.

Yea the lume hands are different. The one I gave my buddy for a gift was like mine without the blue indicies and home time. I called him today and asked it he still had it. He dose. I've given him 3 watches over the past 10 years. My brother is the only one I have given more watches to. :)
