The DOXA TUSA 30th ANNIVERSARY SUB 1000T - History Repeats Itself!
US Drivers®, Poseidon®, Spirotechnique® - and now TUSA®!
Back in the 1970s, DOXA and US Divers collaborated to produce the world’s first true professional dive watch - the DOXA/US Divers SUB. This is now one of the most sought after vintage dive watches! Whether it’s a US Drivers®, Poseidon®, or the Spirotechnique®, these special co-branded dive watches have proven to be solid investments!
To commemorate TUSA 30th anniversary, we proudly announce the launch of the DOXA 1000T TUSA model.
A Solid Investment
This new DOXA will be highly sought after owing to a very low production of 100 total pieces. Much like the DOXA US Divers SUBs of the 1970s, this special edition of the 1000T Class is certain to be a future classic and thus a very safe investment. As our standard models have already proven - "Wear it for five years, and sell it for more than you paid," as stated in the April 14th, 2008 edition of one of America’s top financial magazines.

Special 4th of July pricing for Doxa customers: $1890.00

Very cool.  But not necessarily one I would get.  For some reason it doesn't really do anything for me.  Even though Doxa is the watch brand that originally got me really interested in dive watches.

One day I will have one!

Not too excited about this one.  The logo and type on the dial look too big and commercial.  Just not feeling it.  I much prefer my Seahunters Caribbean with the dive helmet on the dial and orange minute and second hand.

Surprise, another limited edition :D

To be honest, I'm not sure how extra printing on the dial makes this worth more special, or worth more.  Its no less "dive capable" than a regular unmarked DOXA dial.  They are offering a "special price" which got a few takers over at the DOXA forum, but its still about $400 more than the old returning customer's price, so I'm not sure how special it is.

Still it is very nice, and blue and orange is the nicest hand combination for DOXA.

Great to hear so many thoughts. I have to agree with almost everything that's been said... I'm not feeling it too much myself. What's funny is how they are pushing this as an investment watch...toon1.gif

As much as I desire a Doxa, that isnt the one.

I couldnt force myself to pull the trigger (which I now regret) on the Sharkhunter
for around $1200 before the big price increase so I doubt I will ever buy one unless
its a preloved one.

I love DOXA but their watches have always been on the edge of too busy...this one pushes it over that edge....way too much going on!

Here's some another watches that say TUSA on it.

Maybe the Doxa TUSA isn't as capable, but I prefer it.

And I'm so very glad we are different. There are some watches I like but don't buy for they would just not be me. Personality clash. LOL woohoo.gif

But some of you get them and I can enjoy some of your joy. Very cool. WIS rule! yourock.gif

I don't own a Doxa.  I really like where they put the lettering (doxa tusa, etc) on the dial and I like the markers on the dial and specially there hands are really kewl.  The way the case is shaped out from under the bezel I found it kinda different, but hey who knows I could own one someday.  I really wish the would make one like the one shown in Oscar's Avatar, but no chrono and bigger lugs and man I would be on that "like stink on s**t".  I want to say this I really do think there dial work over all is just killer............perfect.gif

it is special becuase of the limited quantity and being a 30th Anniversary Edition"...as far as prices go every WIS will be seing this happening throughout our hobby as rising costs for not only movements but manufacturing have risen tremendously....and that includes China ;)
"DOXA SUB 1000T TUSA 30th anniversary edition. A limited run of 100 pieces will be issued, only 50 units available for DOXA customers and 50 pieces are made for TUSA executives worlwide and selected partners."
