Guys, need your help I have a nice credit at a well-known re-seller of nice watches, my question to you is do I go with either a Rolex GMT Master II Pepsi or Rolex GMT Master II Coke.

Or would you go in a different direction and take a PAM Luminor Marina 0049 or a PAM Radimor 0210??watch2.gif

Your help is much appreciated, please tell me why for your choice? toon1.gif

Shady if I had to choose from those 4 I'd go with the Pam049 in the white dial. Just simply sweet! hearteyes.gif

Id be all over that  RADIOMIR myself

The Rollies all wear a bit small for myself, I have a few and I just dont wear them anymore due to Im not used to theyre size.

All 4 models you posted are great

It all depends on what your trying to achieve?

If you want to have people think, wow he has a Rolex, then thats your choice, cause verybody knows Rolex

If you want a Dressy Watch, that Radiomir is BIG and classy but not as many recognize the name panerai

If you want sporty, Choose the other pam, but not as many recognize the name again.

RADIOMIR woohoo.gif   Have a Custom One Off leather strap with a massive pre v Buckleyourock.gif

Here's the deal....the Pepsi bezel is the original bezel for the SS version of the GMTII...since then, they have intro'd the solid black bezel and the Coke bezel...while they are both nice...THEY ARE NOT TRADITION!

I like the PAM049 but I prefer the dark dial.  I don't know if it comes like that. I don't think you could go wrong with any of them though.

I don't know much about any of these watches but, I envy your your credit.  Based on looks alone, I'd go with the Panny.  However, I'd also consider resale value.

Good luck.

Exactly Ken. That's why I went that route and have never regretted it. The Pepsi bezel GMT is an icon among watches. You will never regret owning a Rolex! They may wear a little small to a he-man like Hucky but the quality inherent in a Rollie is anything but small.

I would like to get in a Panny soon too though...crap.gif

I had a Pepsi bezel for awhile and upgraded to the  SS/Gold which was "all the rage" at the time...I do like it.  I think it has the right mix of gold and SS, and I wore it for years on a daily basis alternating between my Seiko SNA281, a custom Seiko Gold dress watch, an 18k Rolex Presidential Day/Date, Breitling Windrider and my Glycine Airman.  It's a great watch, but with the addition of other great watches to my "collection", it spends most of the time in the safe.  It is one that will get passed down to one of my boys while the other will get the Breitling and the Airman.

Beautiful. That's the way brother. You know my boy helped pick out mine. He had several to choose from and immediately was smitten by the Pepsi bezel which he is fully aware will be his someday... crap.gif Heirloom watches no doubt.

From the four mentioned I would go for Marina.  Something about this watch makes me feel warm inside. ThumbsUp02.gif

For me, to hell with tradition and go with "A Coke and a smile" :D
Though they are an awesome watch, I am not much of a Pam fan, I have a MM and never wear it, just doesn't feel right on my wrist.

Remember though, I have been buying quartz lately :P LOL
Any one of those choices will give you a fantastic watch hand6.gif

Cheers,
Griff

Terrible problem you have here. I agree that the Pepsi would "legitimize" your collection as a solid base. The Radiomir is for me, the most elegant case but I am partial to white dials these days.
Some have mentioned the impressive factor of the Rolexes vs. the more exotica of the Panerais. We here all recognize the fine workmanship of any on your short list. You can't make a mistake. I doubt there will be any regret no matter what you choose.
The Panerai brand is not as unknown as it was just ten years ago. Anyone with a passing interest in horology will appreciate the quality of either Panny. Sometimes the Rolex is met with a Ho-Hum among WIS crowds simply because it is the choice of "any kid with a generous uncle" upon graduation. But we all know we like it and want it. It is a standard and classic for good reason.
Finally if it were me, I would go with the Pepsi. The tradition factor would win out. But that depends on the rest of my watches. I only have medium priced watches that I consider well made. You know what will best fill out your collection. Perhaps you'll have to sell off a child and get 'em all.

To tell the truth, I have had a submariner, which I sold last year and used the proceeds on a downpayment for a new car.  I am missing the Sub.  I have never had a Panerai.

How big are these watches?

I'm not a big lover of Rolex as they are available at almost every mall in America and I'm not real fond of the style. Also usually the first question someone will ask you is "Is that a real Rolex or a fake"? Stand out from the crowd and buy a Pam.

I am going to a dealer here locally and try on the PAM, and I am sure Rolex is in the mall next door...smile8.gif.

Sounds like both the Pepsi and the Coke versions are history also.
