face4.gif....Oh!   Pretty freakin' stupid place to put it since 99.999% of all listings put the price in the verbiage, but what the hell...I should have seen it.

LOL don't feel to bad Ken. First glance i missed it too. I think early in the AM I need for coffee and maybe some reading glasses. :) Just have not talked myself into going to see that eye doctor. Maybe if I can find a hot looking female eye doctor I could get motivated faster. LOL :D

The seller was probably desperate for money. I've seen it all too often in
local classified ads under the description "Divorce Sale".

Here's one that was true ad that I've came across
on craigslist.vancouver:

For Sale 1969 Seiko Automatic Chronograph
Reference Number: 6138 Bulls Head with Seiko
Stainless Steel Bracelet.

$995.

Well, he registered the day before, and has only one post, so he's obviously either a scammer, or just some non-WIS guy trying to sell a watch, and doesn't know any better.
As for complaining about his pricing:
We live in a Democratic Capitalist society (at least that's what the government wants us to believe), which means he has the right to sell his property at what ever price he chooses-- and we have the right to not buy it! If it doesn't sell at that price he has to either reduce the price or not sell it...... of course if some fool does buy it at that price, than I guess the seller wasn't so crazy after all!

Obsidian, last time I checked, not everyone on the Internet is from America. LOL. :P

Either way, Watchuseek is a private forum and no one has the "right" to post there.  We do so at the forum owner's discretion.  I actually think it was amazingly kind of the mods to delete all the comments from that thread.  Personally, I thought that leaving them would have been a nice way of letting the forum members moderate themselves, but that's just my opinion. ;)

I owned the black dial version of this and I flipped it due a few nagging issues.  For one thing, its a big cushion case, which is nice, but the thin bezel feels cheap.  The lume is also average at best.  The movement is actually a modified Chinese movement, the Seagull ST16 or ST15 or something like that that Claro Semag modifies for the CL-888.  Yeah I know it says Swiss Movement but check the wiki over at WUS' Chinese Mechanical Watch forum for more details if you want.

This thing wasn't worth the asking price new, and certainly isn't worth $800.  Maybe someone who doesn't know the history of this watch might pay the ridiculous price.

Well, last time I checked everyone who had posted on this thread up to that point was in North America and in a Democratic Capitalist society-- so i guess my comment had some relevance. LOL. :P
