I've caught the watch bug!:D

Less than an hour ago, I've made the decision in putting a $300 deposit
on a Hamilton Maestro Jazzmaster Automatic Chronograph.
At a local Hamilton Authorzed Retail Store, the reason was easy to make
because for $1495 Canadian Dollars there isn't much to buy in an automatic.
Except for used...the thought of not having warranty made me think clearly
about investing in a fun watch.

Why Hamilton? It is a proven watch company that's been around since
1892 and having owned a Khaki Navy GMT with ETA 2893.1 Automatic Movement in black dial on a brown leather strap. It was a beautiful and cool looking watch!

This is a BIG watch measuring at 45 mm width,14 mm thich and 23 mm
wide at the lugs. There were three versions of this watch inside the store,
a black dial chronograph on stainless steel bracelet, a silver dial chronogaph
with date feature at 4'O clock with the registers facing left and right.

And this is the one I decided to pick up tomorrow.
Sorry the image was paste on through another source.

I've could bought a used Rolex for $1,000 but common sense said
other wise.

You've already got the Air King and the Datejust, so why not branch out and try another brand.  Congratulations.

Thanks Nordstrom.

However, while at the store I told the saleperson that I want to change the
strap and keep the original dark brown padded crocodile grain leather
deployment in the box.  (As seen in the attached image).

Instead I opted for a black padded crocodile grain leather open end style with
white stitching.

The salesman offered to me for free.

19 hours to go before I can pick up my new watch...
it's going to be hard to sleep tonight with anticipation and exitement.

In the end it's worth the waitboy10.gif

Is that the same store that replaced the rolex for you?  If so let me know where that store is because it sounds like he loves to give stuff away for free!!!! subtlelaugh.gif

I apologize that I no longer own a digital camera and I will
make wrist shots in the near future...stay tuned.

The Serial Number on my watch is 05606 with the model designation number
H-32716853 Hamilton Jazzmaster Maestro Automatic Chronograph.
I've purchased this watch from another retail outlet in Vancouver called Timeco.

The watch retails for $1,495 as I've wrote yesterday.
The total amount that I paid came out to $1,130.01.

I've wrote a review earlier in the Just Arrive Post, but was removed.
The watch and box is in front of me as I am typing. The factory leather strap still
has the plastic Hamilton product and price tag attached, the outer box is a black cardboard box in  black with HAMILTON written in silver.

There are two sets of books, one is the Instruction Manual and the other is the
International Warranty. I have an aftermarket black leather strap currently
attached to the watch.

As I've wrote last night that this is my second brand new Hamilton in two years.
The first one being a Khaki Navy GMT Automatic with rubber strap, unfortunately I
no longer have that watch in my possession.  A regretful moment as I look back,
because I destroyed it in a fit of rage.
