Hey guys - what brand and model of Aviator is #3 in the pics of the week comp?

I haven't seen that one before. Very nice! hand6.gif

Cheers - IanM (watch buying suspended until the Aussie dollar resuscitates a little :?)

Ah Skip - so you are the lucky owner...

Nice one, good sir! And a crackerjack photograph, too.

Cheers - Ian hand6.gifhand6.gif

FWIW, the watch in IanM's post is an automatic. The one listed here is a hand wind 2614.

Thanks for the help and the clarification, Skip and mcwright!!

I was wrong !! Must have been looking at it from "down under" :D

The wind-up mechanical 2614/292 version with subseconds at 6 and the date at 12 is 265 on that site - just as Skip said.

The one I found was not the same - sorry for the confusion!

As for auto v hand-wind, I have really enjoyed my hand-cranker watches lately ;) . But I am honestly holding my breath until a good deal comes along on something special. I just saw the photograph of the Poljot mechanical and liked it. Just window shopping is all.

You guys have been a terrific help - cheers!!  IanM ThumbsUp02.gif

Point well taken, Pax. That was, as usual, a beautiful pic. And thank you for the link. Off to sign up for that newsletter I go... I just had a look at their clearance page - and there are some screaming bargains there too.

You guys know so much more than me - thanks for sharing the knowledge! Much appreciated!

Cheers!!  IanM ThumbsUp02.gif
