What is the story on the GV-2 Analog Digital Certified Chronometer? Does anyone have any experience with this watch? I remember when Breitling was the only one that made one and it was out of sight, not to mention the frequency that it used is being turned off as of Jan 31 2009 I believe. I personally like the blue dial one for $499, http://www.jtvwatches.com/catalog/search.jsp?view=59&Ne=27&Ntk=1&Ns=PRICE%7c1&N=4294967228&Nty=1&categoryId=4117 but if you like the black one then here you go for $492.76 with a black dial and on a bracelet. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/,1170V_Gevril-GV2-Anaspace-Anadigit-Chronograph-Watch-with-Stainless-Steel-Band-For-Men.html Click through the link below and then go to mens accessories and finaly to watches. ![]() ![]()

E....I thought it said cerified chronometer when I saw this model when it 1st came out earlier this year but if you look closely at the dial it says certified chronotimer....just a little ocular deception and just a plain ol' ana-digi :D

I have one and I like it. The only flaw is that the digital display does not stay on very long. It's big and surprisingly comfortable on the wrist. I have a black dial on steel bracelet. Clyde Last edited on Wed Oct 29th, 2008 11:17 pm by cfoster |

I will if you pay me enough, but you will have to wait in line. We are currently certifying safety rains for use in horse racing in the US and they will be required equipment in all sanctioned horse races in the US.

The moral to the story is anyone can certify anything weather they are a PE or not. The watch can be certified to be a quartz and have an accuracy of whatever. The prestige that a consumer places on a certification is due to nothing more than the reputation of the certifier. If they market it as a certified chronotimer and it has no muscle to back up the certification then GV-2's reputation is on the line and it will suffer for it.
