Lucky enough to be traveling to Singapore on business soon. Does anyone have tips on where to look for watches? Also, what to look for that isn't available stateside. JC

The people at http://www.watchprosite.com/ will know. Ask in the Horological Meandering section of the forum. Just be aware that a Rolex Sub. is considered a beater there for the most part.

Success! I found Anders in his shop Monday. Very nice guy and helpful. In fact he helped me into a Steinhart Nav-B! I will post a pic soon. The shop is small, but he has a great selection of stuff that wasn't to be found elsewhere in the city. If he'd had a Dievas with California dial, I might have had a tough choice, but the Nav-B just rocks! Anders told me there are no Orient dealers in Singapore, so that shortened my quest substantially. There were lots of stores with all the usual suspects. Cortina Watch at Suntec City Mall is something to behold. They had the Panerais in a separate room! From what I saw, the locals like the sporty/trendy watches more than classics, but there was something for everyone. Thanks to Anders!(and to 3T) John C.
