 I just purchased a new watch, and it is not running. IF there is a battery in it as the sales person stated, and it is not dead, how do I strat the watch running? |

It's an inexpensive Armitron, the back of the watch has the numbers 75/3018 and 753H under that. |

Make sure your crown is pushed in all the way. Sometimes they have a little plastic tab which prevent the crown from being engaged. Was the watch running when you bought it? |

No plastic tab.....................No, watch was not running when purchased. I guess I need to take it to a watch repair (Sears) and see if the battery is either dead or not in the watch. |

Hey if the watch doesn't and didn't work just bring it back to where you purchased it from. No need for you to replace a battery in a new watch. That's up to the seller imho. |

I would however, it was purchased from Mervyns, who is going out of business, all sales are final. All the other watches in the case were not working either. |

I used to love Mervyns when I lived in California. Sorry to hear they are going under. I wouldn't waste time going back to them as they probably don't have any batteries if they are soon to close...:shock: Hey, one more reason to buy mechanical!  |
