Very cool Johnny....TY yourock.gif....looks like Miyota is filling the void left by the Swiss and filled with cheap Asian versions....about time as Miyota is a well proven and awesome movement maker hand6.gif |

excuse me Tom I have no idea what you are talking about?...we are talking about the new movements Miyota is making...I don't believe that is their slogan but rather a statement as there are many Asian movements that are plastic or a sub-standard material...even the eta G-10 is plastic :D Japan is actually considered one of the top watch manufacturing countries in the world and Citizen is right up their with Seiko imo ....base Miyotas are not aesthetic but neither are most movements in their natural state....they can however be decorated by request and can be made to hack and this is from personal experience in dealing with Miyota on a watch projecthand6.gif ....don't know where you read the 200lb thing but apparently and I could be wrong this must pertain to a caseback and we are talking about the movements only and not the watches as pictured ;) |

It seems to have a superior finish than the 8215 hand6.gif I wish I could see larger pictures, the ones on citizen.co.jp are too small. Specification wise I don't see major modifications over the older movements: same frequency, same amount of jewels, unidirectional mainspring winding, similar accuracy and power reserve. It seems to be only a variation... |
