The site lists the movement as "analog-quartz" under Specifications (near the bottom).

If this is, in fact, a 38J Asian, what's the popular opinion on that movement?

I think it looks ok and I might buy one if it weren't so big.  However I get the feeling that reading the date might require some magnification when you get further along the month. I like the open heart style but I don't care for making it look like a tourbillon.  Still I like the case and bezel, looks good with the strap, power reserve is also handy and a black dial goes anywhere.  If anyone has one (or when you get yours Guru) please let me know how it feels and keeps time.
