I was going to buy one of the Precista prs-14's when they came out but opted for the Broadarrow prs-11 in pvd ....both made by Eddie Platts and superior quality imho hand6.gif

Looks familiar.........is the PRS-14 the same as the Precista 300 Metre Automatic Diver on the timefactors' web site?

The Precista 300 follows the tradition of paying homage to military and military-style wristwatches of the past, in this case it follows and improves on the specification of British Ministry of Defence Standard 66-4, Part 1 Issue 2.   This revision is dated 1 January 1971.

the cases are completely different...the Precista is more in line with the Omega 300...where the Stingray was a Fifty Fathoms homagehand6.gif

...if I am not mistaken the Orsa Prodiver used the same case as the Precista watch2.gif

Gumba, I think Ken is right and wrong:D the PRS 14 and the 300 are the same...the MK2 is more closely resembles the PRS 50 from Eddie...which I own.

The prs-50 and the MKII Stingray were released as Blancpain 50 fathoms homages...Eddie went with the radiation symbol version and Yao went with another....plenty debate about it here on 3T by using the search engine...maybe this link will jog your memory Gumba hand6.gif

...take a close look at the contoured lugs of the Precista blueprint which is very close to a Omega 300...the Stingray has straight lugs more in line with the 70's Fifty Fathoms....I remember Berg telling me that both he and Eddie were offered these cases and that goes back to 05'-06'...this was the Prodiverwatch2.gif

I can't even see the case here (picture in TD's posted link), and there is no PRS-14 shown on Eddie's site that I can find...admittedly, the Stingray lugs are straighter and seem longer.  My comment, however, did not attempt to say they were identical, just that they had the same "look", and to ask the question if the PRS-14 and the Precista 300Metre Automatic Diver were one and the same.  Didn't mean to cause a "stir"!:)

Yes, it is a beautiful watch....compares favorably to both the MKII Stingray and the PRS-50.
