Normally I am surrounded by sound.....satelite radio at work, TV/Kids/Wife at home. But today (on the fourth day of ownership) I heard my Flieger Timer ticking for the first time!

So then I really listened to it......what a great sound this watch makes. I've never heard a watch like it. Must be the 18,000bps.....after all how often to you get to hear a 18,000bps watch? Almost reminds me of the beginning of the show 60 minutes.

Here is one more thing (guess I should have said two in the title). I synchronized my computer with internet time then synchronized the watch....that was on Friday. Today I checked it and I'm 2 SECONDS behind! That's 2 seconds in four days!

Is that crazy or what. Must be some sort of fluke. I'm going to check it a little closer over the next couple of days and see what happens. And yes I re-synched the computer with the internet right before I checked.......crazy.

No doubt you've hit upon one of the true joys of the Flieger Timer imho. Mine's not a stellar time keeper and I couldn't care less. If that was my mission I'd hav e a collection full of quartz. The look, feel and operation of the watch are so unique and wondrous to me... you gotta love it!!yourock.gif

Well I was not expecting a stellar time keeper.

Normally faster bps (or vps) = greater accuracy. But this thing is blowing away all my other autos.......so far anyway. I just checked again after synchronizing my computer......I've lost 1 more second since yesterday for a total of three since Friday.

I think I'm just getting lucky. I'm assuming that fully wound it probably runs a little fast and when low on power it probably runs a little slow. I must be hitting the right mix so far.

Either that or this one just happens to be tweaked just right.......if so should I expect that to change much over time?
